Description

This delightful home in Columbine Lake has 4 private bedrooms and 3 baths allowing room for the whole family to relax and enjoy the stunning views of the nearby mountain peaks. Come together on the main level and enjoy the open concept floor plan where friends and family can gather around the large dining room table or cook a meal together in the well stocked and spacious kitchen. Do not hesitate to take the family meal outside as this home features a large deck right off the kitchen with plenty of seating for all. Feel free to kick up your feet after a long day on the trails and enjoy your favorite shows and movies on the smart TV or gather around the keyboard for a sing a long. Off the main level is a 3/4 bathroom and the 1st bedroom appointed with a queen bed and small private deck that takes you down to the back yard where you can spark up a fire and break out the marshmallows for roasting. The master bedroom on the basement level includes a queen bed and private 3/4 bath. Just down the hall there are 2 bedrooms: to the left offers a full/twin bunk bed, to the right you will walk past a laundry area with a full washer and dryer and enter the other private bedroom that offers a twin trundle bed perfect for the kids! Just before you head out the garage on the basement level you will notice a full bathroom with a tub for soaking. With just a short distance to Rocky Mountain National Park this home is sure to be the place to make new memories with the entire family. Direct snow mobile trail access is located within the Columbine Lake neighborhood, go right from the house, no need to trailer in!

“Columbine Lake is a private, covenant-controlled community. Renters are NOT ALLOWED to use the clubhouse, gazebo, horse pasture, OHVs or Columbine Lake.” Plan on using one of the other three lakes (Grand, Granby and Shadow Mountain) for all your lake activities.”. Keep in mind when booking, that this property is located in a quiet neighborhood with owner residents.

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations made prior to 30 days of your arrival date for stays of 6 nights or less will incur a $50 cancellation fee and forfeit the non-refundable booking fee. Cancellations of reservations of 7 nights or more, prior to 30 days before your arrival date incur a $200 cancellation fee and forfeit the non-refundable booking fee. For cancellations within 30 days of arrival date the entire amount is non-refundable for all reservations.

Winter Arrival:
Please be prepared before beginning your drive to the mountains! Four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicles are highly recommended. Although the main roads are usually plowed well, many residential areas require traversing steep hills on dirt roads that are not as maintained. Keep in mind that chain and traction laws for non-commercial vehicles can be put into effect at any time. We do not advise driving Berthoud Pass in a front-wheel drive vehicle unless you a comfortable putting chains on yourself. Weather and driving conditions may change rapidly. We will not accommodate refund related to weather or road conditions, please plan accordingly.

We were worried about the fire damage, but it meant beautiful wildflowers everywhere. Saw moose in the yard! Great views of mountains. Nice neighborhood for walking. Easy access to RMNP and Grand Lake. Only complaints: master bed could use a foam topper and you're cheap w/paper goods. I've never been a rental that didn't supply plentiful paper towels and TP!

Great cabin close to town

We had a wonderful extended time in this cabin. We planned for a weekend and due to the pass closing and being closed in we ended up here for 5 days. It was so easy to text the management of the condo and they graciously let us stay longer. We loved the big open floor plan and games on stock. The cabin is clean and has plenty of room. We felt at home during our stay and would definitely stay again.

Visited Grand Lake for Thanksgiving with family from out of state. The location is perfect ~ easy access to the town. The home has lots of room and a big kitchen ~ I wouldn't call the kitchen 'well stocked' and we washed everything before using it. 3 of the bedrooms are on the lower floor - to consider if you have older folks along like we did. Overall the house was nice, felt pretty clean and was in a great location.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location and view was spectacular. Close to town-roomy parking; fire pit and deck. We appreciated it being pet friendly. It was very roomy and comfortable. Only a couple of improvements would make this a perfect property. The mattress in the main floor bedroom was uncomfortable (tilted to the middle)and the pots and pans in the kitchen are in need of replacement. Otherwise we will definitely return to this property.

The layout of the house is great! The open concept area was perfect. To be honest, it's very dated. I could see from the pictures that bathrooms were outdated but even the carpet needs replacing andthe deck needs attention. It would be an amazing property with some love and attention to refresh it.
