This home is built for taking in every bit of Colorful Colorado! Be sure to take full advantage of the many outdoor seating areas on the deck from the sofa, to the umbrella covered table, or shaded corner chair perfect for enjoying your favorite book on a sunny Grand Lake afternoon. At night, when the stars come out, be sure to look for the milky way while sparking up a fire in the fire pit. This home offers 2 private bedrooms both appointed with queen beds. The completely updated bathroom offers a tub/shower combo with a sky light allowing ample natural sun to shine in. Cook up all of your best recipes in this modern kitchen with all new appliances while enjoying the view of the lake and surrounding mountains. The BeeHive also features a unique pellet stove in the living room that is sure to keep you cozy on a snowy winter's night. Don't forget to the bring the fur babies, up to two are welcome!

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations made prior to 30 days of your arrival date for stays of 6 nights or less will incur a $50 cancellation fee and forfeit the non-refundable booking fee. Cancellations of reservations of 7 nights or more, prior to 30 days before your arrival date incur a $200 cancellation fee and forfeit the non-refundable booking fee. For cancellations within 30 days of arrival date the entire amount is non-refundable for all reservations.

Winter Arrival:
Please be prepared before beginning your drive to the mountains! Four-wheel drive vehicles are highly recommended. Although the main roads are usually plowed well, many residential areas require traversing steep hills on dirt roads that are not as maintained. Keep in mind that chain laws for non-commercial vehicles can be put into effect at any time. We do not advise driving Berthoud Pass in a front-wheel drive vehicle unless you a comfortable putting chains on yourself. Weather and driving conditions may change rapidly. We will not accommodate refunds related to weather or road conditions, please plan accordingly.

We love our stay at BeeHive Bungalow. The place was just as the pictures showed it, the kitchen was very well stocked, and there was even a shelf that said "to share.". Loved that the backyard was fenced for the dogs!

We loved the Beehive Bungalow. The home is very clean and beautifully designed. It is a warm cozy place with plenty of areas to kick back and relax comfortably. <br/><br/>The only annoyance was the check-in procedure of the management company. They text you instructions on how to pick-up physical papers from their in-town office. Those papers just tell you the keypad code to get in the house. Very unnecessary. Just text or email the door code and other information.

Our family had an amazing time at the Bee Hive Bungalow! We had a three night stay and it was amazing. The biggest fan was my nearly 10-month-old granddaughter Bea who had a great time crawling around and visiting with Auntie Sophie, who lives in Grand Lake. We had a wonderful time and since it rained a good portion of our long weekend, it was fun to look out the window at the lake and mountains and snuggle up in the cottage.

Nice house - lack of support/maintenance

The house is very well decorated with all the required supplies, the location is 8min from Grand Lake with other houses around, which makes it isolated but not too much.<br/><br/>I would mark my stay with 5* if not by the non existent support,I had never been in a rental before where an issue during the stay was not addressed at all. When I rented this place I was looking for some specific features since it's in the middle of the winter and snowing, one of them was a pellet stove or fireplace, which it has. However it never worked during our stay of 3 nights, 4 days. I called in at 5PM of our check in day reporting the issue, I also sent an email. Outside of working hours they only have emergency support, which is fine. On the following day by 1PM I got no follow up yet (as is Sunday they probably don't work again). On that day I decided call the emergency number and explain the problem. Later that day I received a call from a very nice lady that all that she could do was a basic triage that I had already done through phone which didn't help. She informed that they would try find someone that day or in the day after. Monday (holiday) passes by and again nobody reached to me or passes by. On Tuesday we checked out and I never got any type of contact.<br/><br/>That lack of support and care makes me truly believe that it's not a company which who I can trust to stay. <br/><br/>There were a few other minor points that might worth to be aware but would not have impacted so much. For example, the cleaning is not the best, sheets, bed and bathroom were pretty clean, however there was spider nets all over the place, pellets in the floor and a LOT of pet hair (I'm a pet owner I'm used to it, but that amount was over a decent cleaning). None of the outdoor space is usable in the winter (which can be expectable). On winter you really need a 4WD. The hot water has no pressure and only showers are available. <br/><br/>That said, the location is great and the house was really wel

We are sorry that you feel as though we did not support you and the expectations that you had for non-emergency maintenance requests during your 3-night stay. Considering the home is also equipped with baseboard heating in every room, the pellet stove is simply a nice amenity. When we called you on Sunday (the one day that week that our office was closed) we gave you specific instructions on using the pellet stove and we reiterated that it can take up to 20 minutes to ignite flames. We certainly did not promise you that we could get someone over the next day (Presidents Day) to assist you, although we absolutely would try our best to do so. On Monday, we tended to a home with a major heating emergency and our teams focus shifted to tend to that urgent matter. We apologize that you were not made aware of this.

**We would like to update anyone reading this on the pellet stove situation** The igniter was clogged because too many pellets had fallen from not being given the proper amount of time to ignite during this reservation. The pellets have since been cleaned out and the fire ignites easily within 15-20 minutes.

We also DO advertise this property as absolutely needing 4WD and it should not be expected to utilize the deck area in the middle of winter - as seen in the winter pictures.

A weekend I'll remember for the rest of my life.

The home exceeded our expectations. It is a very cool modern cabin with a retro feel. It had everything you need for a weekend get away. The owner has literally thought of everything. The glass windows make the cabin feel very large with indoor and outdoor entertainment areas. The sunrise and sun set views are amazing from this cabin. The staff also went above and beyond to make my engagement weekend feel special and ensuring the home was set up perfectly. I highly recommend the Beehive

We were the first renters at the Beehive Bungalow, and had the absolute BEST time during our week long stay! The owners have thought of everything and have truly made their home so welcoming to their guests - it is so cozy, with comfortable beds, ample supplies for cooking, seating (inside and out) and even smores for roasting on the fire pit. The house offers an incredible view of Shadow Mountain and is only a short distance to town. Our dog had the best time relaxing on the porch and we didn't have to worry about him getting out with the fence. We will ABSOLUTELY be back! :)
